How we pick devices

We want every pick on this site to be something you could defend to your own family. Here is how we do it.

We check specs on the maker's site

• Every device fact (screen size, features, plan requirements) comes from the maker's official product or support page. Each listing links to its source.
• If we can't confirm a fact, we leave it blank or say "check the official page." We don't guess.
• Prices and plans change often, so always confirm on the maker's site before you buy.

Fit scores are our editorial judgment

The "fit" scores (0–3) show how well we think a device suits a situation, like memory loss or low vision. They are our editorial opinion based on the device's features. They are not lab tests, and they are not medical ratings.

Not medical advice

We share general tech information. Talk with your parent's doctor about health and safety needs. In an emergency, call 911.

No one pays for placement

No company pays to be listed, ranked or reviewed here. If we ever add affiliate links, they won't change which devices we pick or how we score them. See our affiliate disclosure.
